Metallography is science of interpretation of metal structures. By sectioning, polishing and then etching the surface of a metal, our metallurgist uses optical microscopes to interpret the microstructure of the material being examined.

Using standard techniques characteristics such as the heat treatment condition, case depth, grain size and grain flow can be measured.

These techniques are also applied to composite materials as well.
